I am glad to share info on energy consumption in my very first post.
If you take a close-up look at your facilities, you’ll discover that energy is being wasted in ways you didn’t realize.
Nice post on this by Leah B.Garris, though its a old one but still will be useful for us to follow and save energy. I have listed the
11 points below, for details you can visit the www.buildings.com/ArticleDetails/tabid/3321/ArticleID/5656/Default.aspx
- Leaving Electronics & Appliances turned on
- Dirty Filters
- Dripping Faucets
- Unnecessary Vending Machine Cooling & Lighting
- Cleaning at Night
- Dirty Windows and Skylights
- Not Optimizing Equipment Startup Time & Sequencing
- Thermostat mounted in wrong locations
- Exhaust Fans that run all the time
- Covering up vents, grilles etc
- Incandescent exit signs
Anything more to add to the list?
